The Guinness World Records recognizes Agatha Christie as the best-selling fiction writer of all time, having sold about 3 billion copies comprising 66 detective novels and 14 short story collections. Agatha Christie was born and raised in Torquay, Devon, England and as a member of the Church of England was baptized as an infant. Christie didn't frequently discuss her faith in public, but from what we know she believed we should emulate Jesus in both His "love and despair". She was concerned about attributing man's human failings to God, once stating: "There's too much tendency to attribute to God the evils that man does of his own free will."
