Vincent Damon Furnier, better know by his stage name "Alice cooper", is a rock singer whose career spans five decades. He is widely recognized as the inventor of "Shock Rock". Alice grew up with a father who was a preacher and always had religion stashed away somewhere in his life. However, it wasn't until he made the decision to quite drinking and using cocaine that he devoted his life to Christ, which was encouraged by his wife. Alice described this struggle as follows: "I knew who Jesus Christ was, and I was denying him. I knew that there had to either come a point where I either accepted Christ and started living that life, or if I died in this, I was in a lot of trouble. And that's what really motivated me." Alice also expressed his own perspective on God and the Devil when he stated: "He's not just God, He's the all-powerful God and He has total control over everyone's life. The Devil, on the other hand, is a real character that's trying his hardest to tear your life apart."
