Carlos Ray "Chuck" Norris, a famous American martial artist and actor, holds black belts in Tang Soo Do, Brazilian jiu jitsu and judo. Born in Oklahoma, Chuck Norris describes his childhood as downbeat, partly due to his father's alcoholism, and his academic and athletic struggles left him feeling somewhat adrift, as if he were "without a home.". Chuck discovered his career mission in life after joining the Air Force, when he began to study and practice martial arts. Despite facing numerous defeats, he eventually won the All-American Karate Championship at Madison Square Garden. Later, he established several Karate studios where he trained movie stars such as Steve McQueen, Priscilla Presley and the Osmond's. Reflecting on his fortunate marriage, Chuck stated: "I was always angry, and I had a huge hole in my heart. Nothing made me happy. Then I got married to a God-fearing woman, and at home she would read the Bible every morning . . . "Well, let me read it," and so I started to read it aloud to her. And then it was like the Lord said to me "Chuck, it's time to come home. It's been long enough." Is it time for you to "come home"?
