Dave Mustaine

Dave Mustaine, a leading member of the heavy metal band Megadeth, made his Christian Decision to embrace Christ in 2002. He has sold over 50 million albums, six reaching platinum status, and a Grammy Award for Best Metal Band in 2017. The path to aligning his lifestyle with his faith however was not immediate: "I spent a lot of time as a new Christian trying to get comfortable in my new skin," In one of his books, he writes: "There were times when it felt smooth and right; there were times when it felt like I was suffocating. It wasn't until the summer of 2005 that I began to sense harmony between my spiritual and artistic lives." Like Dave, our Christian journey is often in a state of flux as we attempt carry out God's work while adjusting to our ever changing environments.
