Jacqueline Joyner-Kersee, a former track and field athlete, is ranked among the all-time greatest athletes in the heptathlon and long jump. She won six medals across four Olympic games. In her early years, Jackie showcased her talent in high school athletics in St. Louis, earning a spot in the finals for the long jump at the 1980 Olympic Trials. She later attended UCLA, earning a bachelors degree in history in 1986. In April 2001, Joyner-Kersee was voted the "Top Woman Collegiate Athlete of the past 25 Years. Having represented the U.S. Olympic team, she is also not afraid to play her role on the Christian team: "If you love Jesus Christ don't be afraid to acknowledge it or to acknowledge Him. Don't be afraid. Know that we're all going to go through things. Be uplifting. Be encouraging. Be motivating. Let that be your light."
