Jonathan Roumie

Jonathan Roumie, is widely recognized for his portrayal of Jesus in "The Chosen" series, a historical drama depicting the life of Jesus. Born to an Irish mother and Egyptian father of Lebanese descent Roumie originally aspired to be an astronaut, but later shifted his focus to directing and eventually acting, aiming to enhance his directoral skill. His acting career includes roles in several televisions series such as "The Good Wife", "As The World Turns" and "Castle". Roumie's life's journey was not without hardships. He once reflected on a particularly challenging time saying : "I was literally in a pit and God sort of lent a hand and brought me out of the pit. I was broke. I was in debt. I had enough food for the day to last a day." Regarding his Christian faith, Roumie noted: "My faith is a journey, and I'm constantly learning and growing. I'm excited to see what God has in store for me next." Roomie converted to Roman Catholicism and is not shy about discussing his faith, including his position on abortion.
