Kelsey Grammer, an American actor and producer, gained fame in situation comedies such as Cheers and Frasier, earning him six Emmy Awards, three Golden Globe Awards, a Screen Actors Guild Award and a Tony Award.  Born in the Virgin Islands to a dancer and musician, Kelsey's life would later be transformed by numerous tragedies including his father's murder in Saint Thomas, his sister's kidnapping, rape and murder in Colorado Springs, and the death of his two half-brothers during a scuba diving accident. As a young man in Fort Lauderdale, Kelsey attended a private preparatory school where he first began to sing and perform on stage.  Grammer later earned a scholarship to study drama at the Juilliard School.  However, after his sister's murder, Grammer failed to attend classes and was expelled.  Grammer’s Christian faith has played a central role in his personal and professional life, particularly as he navigated these difficulties.  “I’ve had hiccups. I’ve had some tragic times. I have wrestled with those and worked my way through them: sometimes rejecting faith, sometimes rejecting God even, in a period of being pretty angry about it, like, ‘Where were you?’ That kind of thing, But I have come to terms with it and have found great peace in my faith and in Jesus. It’s not cavalier – Jesus made a difference in my life. That’s not anything I’ll apologize for.”
