Lecrae Devaughn Moore is a rapper, singer, record and film producer who publicly acknowledges his Christian faith. He was raised by a single mother and at the age of 6, was abused by his babysitter. In high school he teetered on the brink of arrest for possession of drugs. However, an encounter with a merciful police officer discovering his Bible, coupled with Lecrae's vow to embrace its principles lead to his release. Despite this incident, he then proceeded to swap drugs with alcohol and partying. It was only after he started to attend Bible studies in college that his real transformation began to turn his life around: "I function, I live life as a Christian, and me living life as a Christian doesn't mean I'm a sanitized person. It means that I readily admit I'm a jacked up person, and I need a savior." Even if we sometimes do our best, we are all often "all jacked up" and need a Savior like Lecrae did.
