Leymah Roberta Gbowee, a Liberian peace activist, played a pivotal role in leading a women's non-violent peace movement to end the Liberian Civil War. Her efforts, and those of her collaborators, earned her the 2011 Nobel Peace Prize. Born and raised in Liberia, , Gbowee later fled to Ghana as a refugee to escape the atrocities of war. However, thru the struggles of homelessness and virtual starvation, she began to seriously contemplate the need for peace. Returning to Liberia with renewed determination, she drew upon her Christian faith to guide her mission. Reflecting on her journey, she stated: "My courage comes from my faith. I have come to one conclusion: All that I am, all that I aspire to be, all that I was before, is by the grace of God."... "There is something in this world that every individual can do. God has created all of us with something unique to contribute." Leymah Roberta Gbowee found her role to play in the Christian Story, what's yours?
