Mel Gibson

Mel Gibson is an renowned actor, film director, and producer originally recognized for his roles as action hero's including Mad Max and in Lethal Weapon.  In his latest role as a director, he earned Best Director for the Golden Globe and Academy Awards, and Best Picture Academy Award for the movie Braveheart.  Regarding his movie Passion of the Christ, Mel said:  "I'm not a preacher and I'm not a pastor. But I really feel my career was leading me to make this. The Holy Ghost was working through me on this film, and I was just directing traffic. I hope the film has the power to evangelize."  Apparently Mr. Gibson has discovered his latest role to play in the Christian story, with God as his "director".
