Saint Peter Daoud Corm
  • Profession: Apostle (1st Century)
  • Type: Saint
Peter, a 1st century AD fisherman by trade, became a devoted disciple of Jesus and the 1st head of the Christian church after Jesus's ascension from earth to heaven (recognized as the 1st Pope of the Catholic Church). Despite being an eye witness to numerous of Jesus miracles, Peter, when challenged, denied even knowing Him and hid for fear of the Jewish authority. Three days after Jesus's crucifixion, Peter would be one of the first to discover the empty Tomb and later witness the resurrected Jesus. As predicted by Jesus, Peter would die at the hands of others, crucified... but hung upside down at Peter's request. He is the patron saint of fishermen.
